According to the order of Sindh High Court, private schools are liable to refund extra charged fees to the parents and guardians but the schools were reluctant to refund the fees.
The Sindh Government has now taken notice and will be cancelling the registration of all private schools. On September 3, SHC had barred private schools to increase tuition fees by more than 5% and stated it as illegal. The counsel stated that the school earnings should be considered with regards to their expenditure and the fees paid to the teachers do not even make up 50% of the expenditure.
Education is a basic human right and so the school fees should be reasonable. Parents who are facing difficulty to get the better education for their children should be encouraged.
